I had to stop working on this project towards the end of the last school semester, but have since resumed work. The robot now has a frame, made out of a thin piece of acrylic from Lowes. The acrylic is perfect as a frame because it's lightweight and strong. The electronics and batteries will go inside the frame. Here's a picture:
